Kidz Korner is a privately-owned clinic in Northwest Florida. It is owned and operated by Michelle Wildman, a registered and liscensed occupational therapist. She is dedicated to serving children & adolescents with special needs in the area.
Occupational therapy is a form of intervention in which the therapist and the child work together to develop or improve the skills necessary for daily living. Occupational Therapists (OT) utilize play in children, which is their main occupation. OT analyzes the child’s behavior and response to different aspects of play and its meaning to the child. Through play, a child may be able to functionally perform basic living skills such as eating, dressing, grooming, bathing and social interactions.
Occupational therapists at Kidz Korner have graduate level degrees, they have passed National Board Certifications and area licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Their education includes the study of human growth and development with specific emphasis on the social, emotional and physiological effects of illness and injury.
At Kidz Korner we thoroughly assess each child and create treatment plans in conjunction with the family. Treatment is tailored to meet the needs of both the child and the family to promote the maximum development of each child.
